Hello! My name is Barbara and I would like to welcome you to my website.

Photography has always been my passion and I have been working as a custom portrait photographer on Long Island for the past 9 years.

Photo sessions with me are very relaxed and never rushed.
In order to provide the best service I only book a limited amount of session per month.
I especially love photographing children and their families, capturing unique expressions and personalities in a natural environment. I give children very little direction and photograph them while they play or interact with their sibling and parents. This enables me to capture their true spirit through a spontaneous smile or more pensive expression.

I feel very fortunate to have many clients who come back year after year and have given me the opportunity to photograph their growing families. My style is fresh, clean, classic and the resulting photographs are timeless.

I love to work mostly using available light while incorporating the surroundings in my photographs.
In addition to families and children I specialize in acting, corporate and modeling headshots as well as women's modern portraiture.

BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Italy, Barbara, in her early teens, became
fascinated with the work by the photographers of National
Geographic. This interest led to her first job as an apprentice
in a photographic studio in Genoa.

Her love for travel and photography led her to her next position
as a cruise ship photographer which enabled her to visit and
photograph most of the Caribbean, West Indies and Bermuda.

Following these travels she moved to New York, worked briefly
as a graphic designer and then as Art Director for Armando Testa
Advertising, the largest Italian advertising agency in Manhattan.

Barbara is currently working as a custom portrait photographer
for her private clientele and for commercial accounts.

Her work has been published on national magazines.
Barbara lives on Long Island, New York with her husband
and two children.
